New Eggplant Genotypes Promise Higher Yields and Nutrient Content!
The study assessed genetic differences in 50 eggplant varieties using statistical analysis. The varieties were grouped into eight clusters based on their genetic makeup. Cluster VIII had the highest values for plant height, number of branches, fruit size, and vitamin C content. Some varieties like UHF BRL-3, IC-074224-1, and DB-144 showed promising traits for high fruit yield. The research found that certain characteristics like vitamin C content, fruit yield, and plant height played a significant role in determining genetic diversity among the eggplant varieties.
