Poor drainage systems in low-lying areas in Akure, Nigeria are causing flooding and environmental problems. The study investigated the causes of poor drainage, such as inadequate design and debris clogging drains. The main consequence of these issues is frequent flooding, leading to damage to infrastructure, loss of life, and property destruction in the area. The findings highlight the urgent need for better drainage systems to prevent these negative impacts.
