Urban size and hierarchy key factors in attracting creative industries.
The article examines how different types of regions in Czechia attract creative industries. By analyzing factors like employment density and cultural industry presence, the researchers found that the type of region plays a significant role in the concentration of creative industries. Metropolitan areas and urban regions show higher specialization in creative industries compared to rural areas. However, excluding metropolitan cores reduces the model's explanatory power, indicating that urban size and position in the urban hierarchy are key factors influencing the spatial distribution of creative industries.
