The researchers used a method called robust kriging to handle outliers in rainfall data from March 2015 in Malang Regency. They identified three outlier rain stations and found that the exponential robust semivariogram was the most suitable for interpolation. The highest rainfall was predicted to occur at Ngantang and Kedungkandang rain stations.
