Diesel engines powered by eco-friendly biofuel could slash emissions and fuel costs.
The researchers designed and built a diesel engine modified to run on bio-diesel fuel. By changing certain engine parts like the fuel injection pump and nozzle, they improved fuel efficiency and power output. Increasing fuel injection pressure led to better fuel atomization, resulting in improved combustion and lower emissions. The main goal was to create and test this modified engine, measuring its efficiency and fuel consumption.
