Revolutionizing Fertility Preservation: Cryopreservation Technique Leads to 130+ Successful Births
The technique of cryopreserving and transplanting ovarian tissue is a proven method to protect fertility in women undergoing cancer treatment. This procedure has already resulted in over 130 successful births worldwide, with a current birth rate of around 30%. By improving the cryopreservation and surgical techniques, it is expected that the birth rate will continue to increase. The concept paper aims to guide reproductive medicine centers in German-speaking countries on how to effectively manage the cryopreservation and transplantation of ovarian tissue for fertility preservation.
