Landowners' actions could transform landscapes and communities nationwide
Family forest owners in the U.S. play a big role in providing benefits to society and the environment. A study looked at lots of research to see what factors influence their actions. They found that things like the owner's characteristics, past behaviors, knowledge, and the size of their land can affect what they do. Some actions, like working with neighbors or managing invasive species, haven't been studied as much. This research helps us understand how family forest owners make decisions about their land.
