Highway transport industry in China faces tax dilemma and revenue losses
The highway transport industry in China is facing challenges with the implementation of value-added tax (VAT), leading to issues like tax credit shortages and revenue losses. By focusing on a well-designed VAT system, efficient management through "Internet plus taxation," and a structured VAT service system, new solutions have been proposed to address these problems. The findings of this study can offer valuable insights for improving VAT governance not only in the highway transport industry but also in other sectors.
