New model calculates thermal efficiency of coal and gas boilers accurately.
The article presents a new way to calculate the thermal efficiency of boilers that burn both pulverized coal and blast furnace gas. The researchers developed a model based on separate combustion calculation, which was compared to the traditional mixed fuel combustion calculation. The results showed that both methods gave consistent thermal efficiency values for the boiler. This new model is considered reasonable and practical for calculating the thermal efficiency of co-fired boilers.
