China's TiO2 exports soar, impacting global market prices and trade relations.
The Chinese titanium dioxide industry has been recovering, leading to higher export prices and volumes. In April, China exported 64,848 tonnes of TiO2, up 18% from last year. India was the top destination for Chinese exports, with a significant increase in export prices. Import volumes also rose, but at a slower rate than exports. The average export price in April was $2,270.63/tonne, a 50% increase from last year. The export price is catching up to the import price, which could lead to price parity in the future.
