Purchasing Power Parity Holds Strong in Russia and Turkey, Impacting Global Economics
The article examines if the purchasing power parity (PPP) hypothesis holds true for E-7 countries from 1994 to 2017. The researchers used panel data analysis to test this hypothesis. They found that PPP is only valid in Russia and Turkey according to one test, but holds true in all E-7 countries when considering structural breaks in another test.
