The article explores how terminology leadership and management models are used in Serbian language policy and planning. It compares the top-down approach, where linguists make all terminology decisions, with a newer bottom-up approach involving input from professional and academic communities. Surveys show that both technical translators and academic experts believe in collaboration between linguists and subject specialists for effective terminology policy. However, there is still a strong influence of top-down language policy in Serbia.
