The prices for magnesium oxide (MgO) and flake graphite in China remained stable in March 2018. However, there is a shortage of high-grade magnesite, leading to limited availability of certain MgO grades. Chromite prices have increased due to limited supply, especially in the chemical and foundry markets. Demand for foundry sand is high globally. In the lithium market, prices have risen in China due to expected demand from the new energy vehicles sector.
