Functional decomposition design processes have been successfully implemented in 23 industrial projects over 5 years, involving teams of 6 to 35 engineers. These projects resulted in systems of systems with various elements. The process helped in achieving project development targets on time, within budget, and meeting specifications. The use of functional requirement decomposition processes has proven to be valuable in industrial design practices for system development.
