Boost Wheat Crop Yields and Nutrient Content with Potassium Fertilization
Potassium fertilizer helps wheat crops grow better and produce more grain. A study tested different levels of potassium on wheat plants in pots. The results showed that using 100% potassium led to the highest growth and grain yield, increasing by 20-50% compared to no potassium. Even at 75% potassium, growth and yield improved by 8-40%. Potassium also increased nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium levels in the grain and straw of wheat plants. The best results were seen with 100% potassium, which gave the highest grain yields. Overall, adding potassium to the soil helps wheat plants grow bigger, produce more grain, and absorb more nutrients.
