New herbicides revolutionize soybean farming, increase yields and profits.
A study at Punjab Agricultural University tested different herbicides for controlling weeds in soybean fields. They found that using pendimethalin before planting, along with hand weeding later on, gave the highest seed yield. However, using imazethapyr or imazethapyr + imazamox after planting also led to good yields and cost-effective weed control. These post-emergence herbicides can be useful when labor is scarce.
