Wave and tidal power can provide clean energy, but high costs and environmental concerns have limited its potential. By using small-scale technologies, innovative financing, and involving local communities, these issues can be addressed. In Bangladesh, the coastal areas have significant potential for wave and tidal power due to the natural tidal head and wave climate. Research shows that electricity generation from wave and tidal power is feasible for 8 months of the year, from late March to October.
