New study identifies key crisis management strategies for tourism industry.
Tourism can face different types of crises like natural disasters, security issues, political instability, economic downturns, and health emergencies. This study looked at how to manage these crises effectively. The researchers identified seven types of tourism crises and focused on developing strategies for five of them: natural disasters, traveler safety, political instability, economic challenges, and health emergencies. They looked at both proactive (preventing crises) and reactive (responding to crises) strategies. The study aims to help tourism industry professionals better handle crises in the future.
