The article discusses using regular desktop computers to run web server services when dedicated server computers are not available. To prevent overloading, multiple desktop PCs can be connected to form a scalable web server farm. By testing different algorithms, it was found that the Least Connection algorithm is more effective than Round Robin for load balancing.
