Soil nutrient optimization boosts blackgram yields and profits in Eastern India.
A study was done to improve blackgram cultivation in India by testing different nutrient supply methods. The best results were seen with a mix of NPK fertilizer, farmyard manure, Rhizobium bacteria, sulfur, and molybdenum. This method led to higher yields of blackgram and improved soil fertility. It also resulted in higher profits for farmers in the Eastern Indo Gangatic plains. So, using this specific nutrient supply system can help farmers grow more blackgram and make more money in that region.
