Giant embryo rice cultivar boosts health with antioxidant-rich germination method
Giant embryo rice called Koshiguruma was studied to improve its growth and health benefits. By using red onion extract and specific conditions, the rice showed better germination and contained more gamma aminobutyric acid, which is good for health. Adding polyphenols also made the rice have antioxidant properties. This research has found ways to grow and fortify giant embryo rice for better human health benefits.
