Taxes Hamper Global Trade, Stifle Supply Chain Efficiency
The study looked at ways to make supply chains work better in Indonesia. It focused on keeping costs low and being flexible in managing supply chains. The research used data from workers in supply chain companies. They sent out 300 surveys to collect information. The results showed that when companies lowered supply chain costs and became more agile, they increased their international sales. But, having to pay taxes had a negative impact on selling goods across borders. Taxes reduced the positive effects of cutting costs and being flexible in the supply chain on international sales.
