Human urine fertilizer boosts crop yields, offers sustainable farming solution.
Human urine can be used as a fertilizer for growing snap beans and turnips. The goal of the study was to compare urine fertilizer with synthetic fertilizer in terms of plant growth and nutrient content. The results showed that using urine as fertilizer, either alone or combined with synthetic fertilizer, led to similar or higher yields compared to using synthetic fertilizer alone. Turnips grown with urine-only fertilizer had significantly higher yields than those with no fertilizer at all. This suggests that urine contains nutrients that plants can easily absorb, making it a viable alternative to synthetic fertilizers.
