This paper explains what radioactive waste is, how it is classified, and how it is managed. It discusses the different sources of radioactive waste, the technologies used for disposal, and the operation of nuclear power plants. The paper also covers the transportation, storage, and disposal of various types of radioactive waste. Additionally, it addresses the challenges of creating and storing radioactive waste in Croatia.
