Electronic Calculator Cuts Analysis Time from Weeks to Days!
A factorial experiment was analyzed using an electronic computer, saving a lot of time compared to manual methods. The analysis was done in about 13 days, with the summary taking only 3 days. Most of the time was spent punching data tapes, but newer calculators could be more efficient. The total machine time needed was about four hours, with 450 orders used in each part of the analysis. This study shows that using electronic calculators can greatly speed up statistical calculations.
