The article examines if different regions in Italy are getting closer or further apart in terms of economic growth and productivity. They used a special method to analyze this. The results show that Italian regions are not all moving towards the same level of productivity and wealth. Some regions are forming groups with similar levels of productivity. However, in the long run, it seems like regional productivity in Italy might eventually become more similar.
