Black fly larvae flour boosts egg production in native chickens significantly.
The study aimed to see if using flour made from black fly larvae-fed manure could improve egg quality in native chickens. They tested different levels of this flour in the chickens' diets and measured egg weight, yolk weight, and egg mass. The results showed that there was no significant difference in egg quality between the different flour levels. In conclusion, feeding native chickens with up to 15% of this special flour did not change their egg weight, yolk weight, or egg mass.
