Policy officials and citizens clash on ideal government role in self-organization
The article compares how government officials and community groups view the best way for government to support community self-organization. They looked at different ideas about how involved government should be, like traditional ways of running things, new ways, working in networks, or letting communities govern themselves. Some people think government should stay out of it, while others want more direct interaction. Both groups don't like using performance indicators or having politicians too involved. This research helps us understand how different people think about governing community self-organization.
