Boost pepper yields in clay soil with mycorrhizae and fertilization combo!
Researchers studied how mycorrhizae (beneficial fungi) and fertilization with phosphorus and elemental sulfur affected the growth of green pepper plants in clay soil. They found that mycorrhizal inoculation increased root yield, while combined fertilization with phosphorus and sulfur had a synergistic effect on shoot yield. Shoot phosphorus concentrations significantly increased with fertilization. Overall, the results suggest that fertilization with phosphorus and sulfur can enhance the efficiency of mycorrhizae in clay soil, potentially leading to increased pepper yield.
