New method simplifies microgrid modeling, suppresses uncertainty in renewable energy fluctuations.
A new method was developed to simplify how a microgrid is modeled when connected to the main power grid. This method takes into account the uncertainty of power output from sources like solar panels and wind turbines. By dividing the day into 24 scenarios based on the likelihood of power generation, the model can better predict how the microgrid will operate. The researchers used advanced techniques to handle this uncertainty and tested their method on a microgrid system. The results showed that the new approach can effectively reduce the impact of power fluctuations from renewable sources on the microgrid's performance.
