Roller coasters are studied to understand how energy changes as the train moves along its twists and turns. Researchers looked at a special type of roller coaster surface called ℜ-Roller Coaster surfaces with Ribbon frame in 3D space. They examined properties like Gaussian curvature and mean curvature, and found equations for how these surfaces can flow without stretching.
