Bojiang Lake Watershed Runoff Estimates Unlock Sustainable Water Management Strategies
Understanding how water flows in a watershed is crucial for managing water resources effectively. In this study, researchers used a method called SCS-CN along with GIS and Remote Sensing to estimate rainfall runoff in Bojiang lake watershed. By analyzing factors like soil type, land cover, and rainfall, they found that about 7.18% of the annual rainfall ends up as runoff. This information can help identify areas suitable for water management strategies like water storage and erosion control. The study shows that combining SCS-CN with GIS and RS can accurately calculate runoff in watersheds, aiding in better watershed management.
