Desalination technology is important for providing drinking water in dry areas. Traditional desalination plants use fossil fuels, which are expensive and harm the environment. This study used solar power to run a desalination plant, which is cheaper and more sustainable. By lowering the pressure in a vacuum chamber, the plant was able to distill water more efficiently and use less energy. The best ratio of distillation to evaporation was 0.42 at a flow rate of 0.5 L/min.
