The goal of the study was to develop a method to better understand how climate change affects river flow in Malaysia. Researchers used different models to predict future rainfall and temperature changes, and found that non-linear models were better at predicting daily climate changes, while linear models were better for monthly changes. They also discovered that river discharge in the region is likely to become more variable, leading to increased flooding during certain seasons.
