A seminar was held in 1991 to help electric utility companies buy gas turbines. The goal was to connect utility representatives with turbine manufacturers and other industry experts to discuss problems and needs in gas turbine units. The seminar included presentations from five turbine manufacturers and had sixty attendees from electric utilities, turbine manufacturers, and research organizations. The main focus was to assist utilities in the procurement process and provide a platform for industry collaboration.
