New soybean variety Jinong 23 boosts yields and fights disease.
A new soybean variety called Jinong 23 was created by breeding two different soybean plants together. Jinong 23 produced higher yields compared to other soybean varieties in regional tests, showing a 10.6% to 21.3% increase in yield. This new variety is resistant to diseases and lodging, making it a promising option for farmers. Jinong 23 was officially approved and released for farmers to use in January 2007.
