New high-starch maize hybrid boosts crop yields by 15%!
A new high-starch maize hybrid called Jinongda 568 was created by crossing two parent plants. In tests, it produced higher yields than other maize varieties, with 10.5% more than one control variety and 15% more than another. The hybrid has a cylindrical ear, yellow kernels, and is resistant to diseases and lodging. It takes 131 days to grow from seedling to maturity and is best suited for planting in a specific region of Jilin province.
