A new rice variety called Jinongda 45 was created by crossing two different rice plants. It was found to have a higher yield compared to other rice varieties in tests conducted over two years. The new variety showed a 6.1% increase in yield in regional tests and a 7.3% increase in productive trials. Jinongda 45 was officially approved for farmers to use in January 2010 by the Jilin Evaluation Committee of Crop Variety. This rice variety is known for its high yield and disease resistance, making it suitable for planting in specific regions of Jilin province.
