A new rice variety called Jinongda 27 was created by crossing two different rice plants. It was tested in different regions and showed higher yields compared to other varieties. Jinongda 27 is resistant to diseases, has good quality, and is suitable for planting in specific areas of Jilin province. It was officially approved for farmers to use in January 2008.
