Robusta Green Coffee from Jember Packs Highest Antioxidant Punch!
Green coffee, which is unroasted coffee beans, contains natural antioxidants called polyphenols, with chlorogenic acid being the main component. A study examined the total phenols content of green coffee beans from Coffea arabica (Arabica) and Coffea canephora (Robusta) varieties in East Java. Different types of coffee and locations where they are grown had a significant impact on the phenol content. The Robusta green coffee from Jember had the highest phenolic compound content among the samples tested.
