Turkey's Coal Subsidies: A Barrier to Greening and Sustainable Growth
The article investigates the social efficiency of energy policy instruments in Turkey, focusing on the costs of coal subsidies and proposing alternative policies for greening the economy. Using a general equilibrium model and data analysis, the study looks at the impact of current energy policies on employment, technology adoption, and sustainable growth. By comparing different policy scenarios, the research assesses the effects on economic growth, employment, investment, consumption, and trade balance.
