Innovative Study Reveals Genesis of Coal Macerals in Jambi Subbasin
The coal in the Jambi Subbasin formed in different environments, leading to high vitrinite and inertinite contents. Bright coal comes from wet areas, while dull coal comes from dry areas with mineral matter. Liptinite content doesn't relate to coal type. These coals have low ash and sulfur levels. The study used in-situ sampling and microscopic analysis to find these results.
