Future crop yields in northern Europe are influenced by various factors, with prices of agricultural products being a key driver in adapting to climate change. Different scenarios of agricultural adaptation in Finland were analyzed, showing that higher crop prices are needed for significant yield increases. Maintaining or increasing crop yields is crucial for long-term agricultural income and reducing nutrient surplus. Higher crop prices could lead to increased cereal production compared to livestock production. Overall, the study highlights the importance of balancing crop yields, prices, and policy conditions for sustainable agricultural development in the face of climate change.
