Optimizing planting geometry and fertilizer levels boosts sweet corn yields significantly.
The goal of the experiment was to see how different ways of planting sweet corn and levels of fertilizer affected the amount of corn produced. They tried out different planting patterns and fertilizer amounts to see which combination gave the best results. The wider planting pattern with more fertilizer gave the highest individual corn parameters like weight and number of grains. However, for overall corn and fodder yield, the planting pattern of 60 cm x 15 cm with a specific fertilizer level was the best, closely followed by the pattern of 45 cm x 20 cm with the same fertilizer level.
