A new climate-responsive facade system using translucent phase change materials has been developed to reduce energy consumption and improve indoor comfort in buildings. The system allows for free cooling throughout the year and achieves a total energy saving of 39%. The research shows that integrating these materials into facades can lead to significant energy efficiency gains and better thermal and visual comfort indoors. The design has been evaluated for different climates, orientations, and economic feasibility, providing a promising solution for sustainable building design.
