US housing market sees significant improvement in fourth quarter 2014.
The U.S. housing market got better in the fourth quarter of 2014 compared to the previous quarter. Permits, single-family starts, new house sales, and single-family spending all went up a bit. Most sectors also improved compared to the previous year, except for multifamily starts which decreased slightly. Overall, all housing construction areas did better than they did during the low point between 2008 and 2011.
