The study looked at how rural areas in Guizhou Province treat domestic sewage. They found that only about 13% of villages have sewage treatment facilities, with Zunyi and Guiyang having higher coverage rates than Bijie. Different technologies are used, like constructed wetlands and integrated equipment for larger villages, and decentralized systems for single households. The goal is to use simple, cost-effective methods that effectively remove pollutants from rural sewage.
