Abant Lake's Zooplankton Diversity Reveals Vital Environmental Insights for Future.
The researchers studied the zooplankton in Abant Lake to understand its current conditions and how they have changed over time. They collected samples from different parts of the lake over two years and identified a total of forty-nine zooplankton species. Most of these species belonged to Rotifera, with some also from Cladocera and Copepoda. They discovered twelve new species of Rotifera and six new species of Cladocera in the lake. This information can help us learn more about the lake's ecosystem and how it might change in the future.
