Revolutionizing Forestry: Boosting Social, Economic, and Ecological Benefits Through Carbon Sequestration
The article evaluates the performance of two forestry carbon sequestration projects in Sichuan Province. By using ecological theory and systems engineering economy, the researchers created a framework to assess project implementation. They found that the projects had high performance levels in ecological, economic, and social benefits, with social benefits being the most significant. The study also revealed differences in project performance due to factors like project area, regional culture, and farmer household characteristics. To improve project performance, the researchers suggest increasing farmer participation and adapting management models to local characteristics.
