Fertdolomite boosts wheat yield by 32% and improves soil quality long-term.
Soil acidity can be a problem for growing plants. A type of dolomite called Fertdolomite was tested on acid soil in Croatia to see its long-term effects on maize and wheat. Different amounts of Fertdolomite were applied in 2011, and after five years, it was found that Fertdolomite improved soil pH and acidity. Wheat yield increased significantly under Fertdolomite treatment, with better grain quality. Maize yield also increased, but not as much as wheat. Overall, Fertdolomite had a positive impact on soil and crop productivity in the long term.
